My name is Tia Powell. I am 21 years old and a recent graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a major in history and a certificate in Gender and Women's Studies. The current goal in life is working towards finding and appreciating happiness in my daily life. I'm an avid reader and enjoy suggestions for new books. I like to think I have a talent for reflecting on the world around me.
Besides these relatively basic life facts, I have an irrational, but nonetheless extreme, fear of swimming with fish but also find them fascinating; River Monsters with Jeremy Wade has remained a consistent favorite show of mine. Oh and I love food. I love grocery shopping, cooking, eating, and indeed even admiring good food. I also have acid reflex problems that continually interrupt my said love of food. My stomach and I are a never ending battle. Introducing myself and trying to capture my character is rather difficult by spouting relatively known facts about myself but there they are for you. I also love a good joke, the cornier the better. I think that its important to enjoy your life in the moment and try not to take it too seriously, things have a way of working themselves out.
